Hi all.
Vehicle: 98 Ranger 2wd springs all stock/vanilla work truck.
Having replaced nearly everything else in my game of hunt-the-clunk, I'm considering replacing the bushings in the lower arm. Can anyone give me any tips on how to do it? I have a decent ball joint press (C-clamp style).
I'm going to replace the uppers too, but I think I will replace the whole upper arm as a unit.
The symptoms I'm trying to address are: I eat balljoints. I have a "click-CLOCK" sound @ drivers side which I think is the upper ball joint on the driver side snapping against it's spring backing. I feel every bump and new shocks, torsion links/bushings don't touch it. New bearings recently likewise ineffective. Also new tierods (and actually steering unit).
Thanks for any insights.
