i got a 2002 ranger with the 4.0 liter i have changed out all the other plugs and wires except for plug number i think cylinder 3 its the one closest to the firewall on the passenger side. the problem im having is i cant figure out how to get a socket in there due to there being a big black box in the road. im sure you all know exactly what im talking about. do i have to get it from the bottom?

Go in from the wheel well. :icon_thumby:

This! I changed mine last week and that was the only one that had me scratching my head...if you look in the wheel well you should have just enough room to get your hand between the fender lining and stick a socket on there.

alright thats kinda what i was thinking to go in from the wheel well area maybe jack it up to get into the area where i can see the bottom of the manifold i bought the Bosch-Iridium-Fusion / Spark Plugs with just 5 out of 6 plugs in and new bosch wires this thing runs like a champ now hopefully ill get to the last plug today

well that did the trick i jacked it up and got it through the inner fender well took it for a drive again and it runs excellent thanks everyone for the help

Put the socket on first then stick wratchet in with the handle pointed in the direction of the exhaust pipe. Or get a shorty wratchet. just did it yesterday BTW
