I have an 84 Ranger with, I will assume, the BW1350 Tcase.
Long story made short.........the u-joint on the rear shaft at the Tcase failed yesterday while on the highway. Before it snapped and sent the shaft into the pavement it tore up the yoke pretty badly. I was able to locate a replacement shaft but now I do not know how to remove the yoke from the Tcase.

Do I have to drop the Tcase and tear it apart?? (damn I hope not)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

take that big nut off the rear out put shaft off and it will slid off the splined shaft.

That happened to a guy I know. He is now a quadriplegic. When the drive shaft hit the pavement , it broke his neck.
The moral of the story is: don't let your u-joints get that bad!!!!!
