The piece the arrow is pointing right at that looks like a line nut is a line nut.

Hold the bigger one right on the reservoir with a wrench so you don't back it out, and then use another wrench to crack the little one open. That one looks beat up, I'd use a line wrench if you can get one.
 
Yeah it definitely loos rounded out. Get the right kind of wrench on it before you strip it out completely. Line wrenches are life savors and worth a trip to harbor freight if you don't already have any. Few bucks and a trip to the store will save hours of frustration.

I've had more than one of those lines that got replaced because that was the only way.

I've had a few i had to impact off (as a last resort).. with that said the way that that fitting is designed some times it is better to just replace the line and teflon o ring.

Yeah. It was not a great design.

I'd say that's a last resort simply because it can get tight for vice grips in that spot.
