I'm starting on the process of pulling my transmission.

I was looking at the end of the gear selector linkage and I can't see how the end where the cable attaches comes off the linkage- what's the trick to it?

Just straight out? I figured there was some kind of a clip or something I had to disengage...thanks!

It's a nylon socket over a ball end on the arm. The nylon can flex enough to come off when you put enough pressure on it. I usually use a screw driver to pry it away. Saves the knuckles when it does come loose.
