I have a few spots bad on My B2 underneath. I am going to mig weld them up the best I can, and clean off all the rust possible. what would you suggest for coating ? I have used rustoleum rusty metal primer on a car hauler, and its still going strong after 5 years. I never even painted it afterwards! Im not talking about the spray can type ,I mean the quart cans. I used a paint brush to apply it and it has done well. what do you guys use?

Most rattle can paints well hold up a bit but will eventually flake off, especially if there is rust already. Most guys go with por-15 or something similar. Basically converts the rust into a kind of primer that you can then paint and not have to worry about it flaking off due to existing rust under the paint.

Ymmv though since it's better to have access to the entire frame therefore most guys do it when they have the bed and cab off for whatever reason.
