So i got these cylinder heads from my friend that looked like they were done for

But i let them soak in 50/50 vinegar and water over night and this is the result so far

Put oil on them. There are also some aerosols that leave a waxy film for corrosion protection. WD-40 will not last very long.

Put them in a 60/40 mix of molasses and water, let them sit for a week, preferably 2 weeks, pull them out a pressure wash them.
it will take off almost all the rust.
it stinks so seal up whatever tub, barrel, container you use.

Ive already got all the rust off with 50/50 vinegar and water over night, i have no clue how it worked so fast, the rust rubbed off with a cloth

Vinegar is a mild acid that removes rust. I agree with using an aerosal corrosion inhibitor. perhaps research what they ship machinery in.

Not that it is not working fast, but if you add a little salt to the vinegar solution it works faster.
Rinse it well when done

I would paint the exposed head parts, an engine paint, Ford Blue :)

But the valve cover area will be covered in oil vapor so no worries there.
If they will be sitting for a few months brush or spray with oil and seal in plastic bags

Im hoping they will be on the motor in a few days, i was planning on doing them black but considering other colors, right now the motor is all flat black and metal specks blue

If they are going to be on in a few days I wouldn't worry about rust too much, on areas that won't be painted. WD-40 should last the few days until the intake is on, then just put some oil over the valves once they are on.

Might make sure the valves are not stuck after being that rusty. Were they submerged or sitting outside?

Give them a good bath to get the vinegar out too, that is nasty stuff to let sit on it.

Whats a quick way to check if the valves are stuck?

Take a few small blocks of wood and place them on either side of the valve that you are testing and another small block of wood and push down on the rocker right above the valve stem. Lather rinse and repeat for all valves. It should move with only the stiffness of the valve spring opposing it.

Being that rusty, I would probably remove the valves and rockers anyways and replace the valve seals anyways. Now is a good time to do it. You can also clean up the valve stems at this time

any updates?

I've been using this process on body bolts and fasteners for years...
