My 84 B2 has a 4" lift & sits app 1 & 1/2" lower in the rear, I want to bring it up 1". I have the explorer leaf springs installed with the blocks & add a leaf that came with my 4" lift kit.

Any ideas to get that extra 1"? :icon_confused:

It's driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :temper:

belltech makes some 1inch lowering shackles that lift a ranger an inch.. i bought them for my ranger but need to get some 6400 ones or make some new ones.. there 6700 series

Are the 1" lowering shackles made to lower the chevy, or are they made to lower the ranger, I know the 6400's are made to lower the chevy 3", & I read on here the 6400's would give me app 1.75" of lift, so would the 1" shackles give me a true 1" lift? :icon_confused:

Put on Belltech 6400 shackles. They have two sets of holes that you can bolt your leaf sping into. Bolt the leaf to the 2nd from the bottom hole. That should net you 1" of lift. Bottom hole would get you approx 1.5-1.75" of lift. With the 6400, if you ever bring the front end up, you can bring the rear up with it down the road.

Excellent!!! Sounds like that will work perfect!! :icon_thumby:
Problem solved.....Thank you sir!!:icon_thumby:

Just a thought, you could run the shackles in the bottom hole, and find a bit shorter block. Always nice to have less block.

I have to agree: less block= better!!

The kit I have on came with an add a leaf & maybe a 2" tapered block to raise the diff angle at the yoke, so I don't have a lot of block to worry with, it has served me well, & I definitely don't want bigger blocks. I would assume longer shackles would give the diff a little more upward angle, correct?? , or am I way off.

With a little trial & error, I will get it where it needs to be. I think the 6400's will be the easy way. I appreciate the suggestions

sounds like a time for new leafs if it's still sitting low

Quick summary: My 84 B2 had the lift, it sat a touch low in rear. I put on explorer leaf springs, then it sat good but frame was in bad shape. Also had a 85 B2 at that time, no lift, Rebuilt engine, new clutch, etc.

I let my brother borrow the 85 & he rolled it & caved the roof in. 13k on the engine when he rolled it. Pulled the body & the suspension lift off the 84 & put them on the good 85 frame. For some reason, the front sits 1" higher than it did on the 84 frame :icon_confused:.......Hence the reason I need to lift the back 1", the leafs are fine.

I don't know anything about em.

I have heard all good things about the the Belltech 6400's, & they are going for $54 at Summit racing. Don't know what shipping would be though.

I am still saving up for a pair, I need em bad. :icon_bounceblue::icon_bounceblue:
