How to install output shft seal

I just had the rear output shaft seal replaced on my truck's t-case. Actually, the dealer said they replaced it, I'm not sure if I believe them. The guy who did it said the seal is replaced from the inside of the case. So, he apparently had to take the case apart. Anyway, I'm smelling bullshit and would like to know exactly how the seal is replaced and if it is indeed replaced from the inside of the case.

It appears to be doable from the outside, but the flange has to come off (30MM? nut). I've never done one, but they appear to be similar in design to a transmission tailshaft output seal. Pry it out, apply sealer and tap it in.

Top it off with ATF, wipe it clean and throw a piece of cardboard under it every day to catch drops.

You either trust that they fixed it or verify it still leaks and take it back.

Thanks Earl, I'll just hope that they fixed it and keep a close eye on it. If it still leaks, I definitely will take it back.
