So guys I just ordered a K&N FIPK for the '96 Ranger. This is for the 95-97 4-banger manual Rangers.

AutoAnything has a policy that it will NOT be undersold on K&N products and will beat any deal by $10.

Amazon has theirs for $204, which is lower than AA.

AA has theirs listed at $243

Read here on how to do the price match:

And I hope you guys can take it from there. It just worked for me right now, so I'm passing it on to you lucky bastards. :icon_thumby:

I stopped using K&N when I switched to AEM dryflow cone filters along with a polished tube. I never have to oil again and I can just wash my AEM and put it back on after it drys. I love the AEM. No need to re-oil the filter as I had to do with my old K&N filters. I keep two dryflow filters on hand...one ready to put on when I need to clean one and I don't have to wait for one to dry. I really believe my cars and trucks run better with the AEM filters.

I realize that K&N might not be the best, but it has a heat shield. I haven't hound any other CAI that had one and the cost to get one might negate any price advantage of the other filters out there. But I might look into fabbing up a AEM filter to the K&N tube if it really seems like it could be that helpful...

You know dude, I was sell my K&N FPIK for the 95-97 4 banger. I still have it.

Dammit I wish I knew... I woulda bought it off of you.

Hahaha, you got taken to the cleaners.

$200 for that? It ain't worth $50 for all the performance you will lose from it.

Well if I did get taken to the cleaners then I could just return it.
