What is the cheapest way to lift a stock standard cab ranger (2wd) enough to fit 35's on it?

mine took a 6" suspension Lift and A 3" Body Lift To fit them without rubbing, my 37s fit too but they rub at full lock

ask to use some one s sawall. and flip the rims around.

What size motor are you running? If it's a 2.3L you'll need a whole lot of gearing to spin those 35's. Otherwise sounds cool!

A 3" PA body lift, Belltech 6400 shackles in the rear and some custom coils in the front would get you close to clearing 35s, combined with hacking away some fender (if you don't mind it looking like crap). If you wanted to spend a little more coin, you could go with some fiberglass fenders + bedsides. Combined with the body lift, you could easily clear 35s. You're going to need at least a 4.56:1 R&P to turn the tires (decently). 4.88s or 5.13s would probably be better.

just cut the fenderwells out lol. why 35''s on a 2wd?

didnt realize the extent or size of 35's
i believe ive decided to level it out and put 31's on it...i hear it will be a close fit stock but will work nonetheless?

Sorry to ressurect this from the dead (ZOMBIE THREAD)

I have a bunch of milspec 37-inch HMMWV wheels sitting idle that i cant seem to sell. I want to put them on my 2.3l powered, 2WD, standard cab ranger.

What needs to be done lift, gear, fender-wise, etc?

And how can they be done in a cheap-financially-but-not-cheap-quality way?

Even if you are willing to get 4mpgs pushing 37s with a 2.3, you have a 7.5" axle and this is what happened to an 8.8" axle on 37s.

Yeah. RBV axles just aren't made to hold that much. 33s are a good size to stick with although many have ran 35s fine. You just need to be smart about it.

Seems if I wanted to even try, i'd have to start with entirely different axle on the back end.

:icon_welder: I'm feeling crazey here...

*What axle would fit the bill for those 37s and still fit under me ranger.
*What gearing would I need to drive around 50-60MPH and maintain driveability (I have a manual trans behind my 2.3L)
*Lift choices (including trimming)
*Ballpark MPG @ 55MPH

Well good luck. Thats getting outside of my RBV knowledge. I still stay you need more motor. Even with 5.13s in your axle.
