You either got a smoking deal on a ranger, or you paid way to much for the tires.
I have that tire in a 31, its quiet. I haven't had to really test the traction. Mine do vibrate a little. Had them balanced, replaced shock's and there is a very slight vibration. Cant tell about tred life yet.
On rereading I see you paid 125 a tire, not to bad there.
The truck is nice. 1997 2wd, 5-speed. Power nothing. No a/c. Rust free. 142k miles.
Driveline is excellent. Needs almost everything else. Lol. Just did radius arm bushings. Tires were bald. Shocks are shot. Shock bolts are broken off. E-brake doesn't work. Blower only operated on "High". (Fixed) No heat. (Fixed) Front bumper 'snarled'. (Replaced w/ JY one.) Wipers still only work via hotwired switch. (Working on that). Inst/heater control lights all burned out. (Fixed).
Don't get me wrong I like my Ranger, I must I'll have had it for 20 years next month, but I paid more for my speakers than I did for the truck originally....
(Note: the speakers are from Boston Acoustics
And I could probably buy a decent truck for what I paid for my Stereo (A Sony MEX-DV2100) head unit... and that head unit cost less than my Icom dual-band amateur transceiver.
The electronics suite in my truck is easily worth two or three times what a really "cherry"
gen2 4.0 4x4 supercab sells for these days)
Which is why an old friend can't help but laugh when he sits down in my passenger seat..
