My 02 rangers engine bay was detailed sometime shortely before early part of december 2022 when i bought my truck.

Engine bay detail...

:icon_confused: What's that?

Seriously though, it's not something that I do. Truck in general has never been detailed. Not knocking anyone that does, good on you. Just not something I've done. Conditions I generally drive in it is almost a waste of time. Closest I've come is a good cleaning while the engine was out for the V8 swap.

I don't detail mine. I may give it a light hose down to clean out the dirt and mud from time to time but that is about it.

I'm planning on having someone detail the broncos bay this year some time.. damn things so expensive.. wanna keep it nice👌

Every time I go to the car wash. I don't "detail" it, I just spray everything down really well to remove dust, mud & oil residue. I really hate working on vehicles that have decades worth of mud, dust and crap built up on everything under the hood.

I have washed the bay out several times at the car wash (be careful of the alternator and any electical connectors) but I have not detailed mine in the almost 20 years that I have owned it...

I’ll let you know if it ever happens.

I did knock a mud dauber nest off the intake plenum a few months ago. Does that count?

Once upon a time...

Detail... no

Clean... probably once a year.

Pretty much every time I take it to a car show since the engine bay is kinda what makes it special.

1-3 times a year.

Never. I still have a lot of grit and oil from the 2.9...

I blast it off with a cheap electric pressure washer at least twice a year. Usually prior to any repairs.

I attempt to clean around the thing that's broken just before I replace it if it's important enough to fix... if I go offroading and stuff I might hose it down... I pressure washed the '90 in April but I was tearing apart the whole front suspension...

I motor wash it with Pink Stuff every spring when I start driving it and wipe it down occasionally during the summer. Pink Stuff is also sold as Awesume Pink and Incredible Pink, it's a rugged smelling cleaner that works good on white letter tires and white walls, too.
