i have a 289 v8 complete engine from the 60's, its the rare 5 bolt bell pattern. Needs rebuilt badly but still runs. How much is something like this worth if i sold it?

Not much unless you find someone that needs it for their period correct Mustang.

Then it is how much that person is willing to pay. It is kind of hard to put a price on it, depends on if if anyone close to you wants it or not.

Do you have the rare 5-bolt bellhousing and tranny to go with it? Thats going to be what makes it worth less.

It has more value to a early 60's ford......but only if it's rebuildable (not overbored and or scored up cylinder walls), and all the main pieces are from the same year range.

But for just anyone wanting any 289, not any more valuable than any other musclecar era core.

it has a cam in it and i have a matching bellhousing that works with C4's, thats about all. I got a guy interested in it for $150..

I got my rebuildable '67 289 with a supposedly good C-4 just for carrying it out of the guys basement.

I would sell it if you found someone that wants to pay for it.
