Would like to know how low can the back end go with using a mini notch?

Going to do the axle flip for now, but seriously looking at going air suspension in the back. Without cutting the box, what the limiting factor for lowing the back?

Is it the axles hitting the frame? or the Diff hitting the box? if its the axles and I do a mini notch how low can I go?

Would make loading the bike a lot easier on the back with it low as possible.

Thanks,
KJ

u can go until the rear end touches the frame lol but thats not smart at all, most would recomend not goin over 3" in the back, The notch is to get your travel back so u dont hit the frame with the rear end every bump you hit, u could do a simple air setup not in terms of laying frame but more for dropping the back to load and using bags to bring it back up to haul hope this helps, somebody correct me if im wrong here

You can go 7 inches in the back before you start to run into issues hitting the frame without a notch, this is if your springs are still in good condition of course. 7 with a notch is good, you can get this with a axle flip kit and flipping the shackles in the back.

As for your question about what hits first..the pumpkin will hit the bed before the axle hits the frame with a mini-notch installed, my friend ran into this on his '98, he had to trim out a small square right in the middle of his bed.

I would do a bolt in notch if you go more than just a flip kit (4"/5") depending on the year. Good shocks also help out alot.
