How many miles on your 4.0?

My '94 has 158,??? on it and I am in the middle of replacing the oil pump on it. It sat for over a year before i got it and the oil turned into sludge. I only paid $150.00 for it and have put a waterpump, tie rod ends, and now the oil pump. But, I am not complaining I love this truck.

'94 has 266,235.....but its missing real hard.....that just started a few days ago....

135k on mine. Doesn't leak or smoke or use oil. Burns as much gas as my 454 though.

211K and change on my 93, burns a little oil but runs like a champ considering the hell its been through

Just rolled 151000 on my 92. Only issue I've had is it eats plug wires (like every 15000 miles) and the lower intake has to be tightened down periodically.

I like the 4.0, it's a good engine and can last. But it's no 2.3 Lima (although the fact that is has about three times as many guts as a Lima makes up for it).

1994 with 269000 km. I've owned it for a year now. Fixed a bit of surface rust above the windshield. Rest of the body is rust free and original paint. Minor dents and scratches. Like it that way. Bought it to help with work around the house and haul my quad on weekend. Lots of power. I just replace the tranny modulator valve, still have to fine tune the shifts. Changed the plugs, they didn't like burning the tranny fluid I quess! Changed the MAF sensor 2 months ago and radius rod bushings. The usual stuff for these trucks by my understanding. Overall good little truck. Also changed the rad and fan hub. Fan didn't come on and too much pressure in the rad blew the tank seal out. Still happy with it. Lots of mileage and worth it considering the body condition. Seems a bit hard on fuel though. Not sure what the average fuel mileage is though.

Well, I am happy to say 172k- I just bought the truck and was ultimately thinking about a 5.0 swap, but it seems that the 4.0 is plenty good!

the ohv is with torque but the SOHC has closer power ratings with that of the 5.0 in ex's.

Mines got 193xxx and i've had it since 185xxx and it still runs good, blew a heater valve two weeks ago and heated her up and blew out the valley gasket.... once i fixed it tho it was no big deal

i have 177k on my 99 4.0
minor oil leak at the front of the pan, but other than that runs like a champ

205,124 my 4.0 right now.... I get a little knocking every once in awhile and it idles a little strange, misses on startup once every 3-5 weeks or so.... Seems like it has a bit of life left in it

My ODO says 116,000. Don't know how many times it's rolled over but I'm pretty sure it's at least 1.

I have about 10,000 on my 4.0 since the rebuild 2 years ago.

My friends just turned 392,000 and still runs awesome.Mine only has 114,000 but I know of one other that had 409,000 and would still be on the road had it it not been side swiped. With proper maintenance who knows how long they will last.
