It's nothing about capability. I don't have a problem with 18+ because I am one that believes if you're old enough to fight an die for this country, you should be old enough for everything. <18 and I say have a Pepsi.

You are a lot LESS capable than you think you are. We were all 13 once. We all thought we could do everything and then were astonished to figure out at 18 or 19 that we really didn't have the slightest clue.

Most people expect a 13 year old to be utterly useless. You can exceed that expectation by being merely very useless.

Sorry for the cold water, but if you're contemplating drinking, you need a serious dose of reality right now.

dude, i seen that you were viewing my thread and i just new you were goin to say something that dont encourage me, and how can you call me less capable of what i think i am, who the hell are you to say that, and what does drinking have to do with any of this, you always were a bubble burster, and i know alot of people say it, see the bottom quote in my sig? thats about you, not alot of people like you man,

no, its definatly a 2 man job, and the stuff that actually works, some places have it, called Freeze Out, works the best BY FAR for removing siezed bolts

Not without damaging the bed. Get a friend to help you or use the 4x4 and sawhorse trick. (if you have 2x4's and no 4x4s, you can nail them side by side to make a 4x4, just put the edge up)

Depends on what equipment you have.

I wouldn't suggest working alone on this. Inexperience + heavy stuff (or power tools) = injury.

I did with a 88 dodge dakota, by myself, the bitchy part is getting it over the tires, peronally, use some cinder blocks or something on 4 corners, then use a bord wide enough to reach block an d slide that under bed, without a rear bumper, u might beable to slide it back, stand on the frame, lift the front of it, and slide it back, while lifting the front, and just stand it straight up and down, thats if u don't care about paint(did this on my dakota, lifted back up over bumper, then went to town), also don't forget the ground cable(attaches Cab to Bed

Not that I really want to defend MAKG, but...

You indicated that you were going to consume alcohol. I have to agree with him that someone your age should ONLY consume small tastes under adult supervision (or in other words, someone your age should drink nothing more potent than Mt. Dew).

He's also right in that most people expect a 13 yr old to be useless.

Obviously you're not so useless since you profess a willingness to try things, learn, and be able to do things. You are likely to find though when you grow older that through learning, you will learn that you usually were not quite as capable as you thought you were when you were younger. I thought I was pretty tough an strong an all when I was 13. Looking back now I can see that I'm well over 2x tougher and stronger now, and can do way more than I dreamed of when I was 13.

I think he was more saying that you are not as capable as you will be at some point in the future. That fact holds true for the vast majority of people.
