I wonder if it would be possible to have the TRS decal laser cut or water jetted:

I wonder how I could get it done, and how costly it would be for a logo that was say 6 inches wide.

Making it out of what material?

You'd have to reduce that to a line drawing. Unless you wanted to have it lasered out of thin titanim sheet, they can then modulate the beam to reproduce most colors, reasonably well.

If your talking about a one-off then it ain't going to be cheap. I have access to both plasma and laser cutters but neither of those shops want to deal/mess with any job smaller than a full sheet (4'x8' or bigger).

its been over 6 years since i worked there............the going rate was $150 per hour run time on a 3000 watt laser

see if you can get in touch with your local vocational high school. i know if i were still a student at the one here, i could have that done for free. the welding class has a cnc plasma cutter if i wanted it from sheet steel, and i could even have had aluminum billet milled on a cnc mill.

if you can convert it to a line drawing in autocad or something it might be cheaper because it will save alot of time on the computer for whoever has to input it. I'm pretty sure that it will carry over to the software that runs a waterjet or cnc plasma cutter.

check your vocational school. We have a robotics class at ours that has a robotic plasma, it could cut you a pretty close replica. But of course some things will have to be removed. I may be able to get it done if i can find anyone in the class.

We've got a water jet at work, it's not hooked up yet though... Boss was thinking about putting me on it when they get it up and running...

Yep, the big question is of what material and how thick? Me thinks you are looking at a plastic/vynil material for windows? Quanity? I made the designs at work for a lot of the stick on type decals that go on our products. All they need for that is a good AutoCad file (in fact for the lazer cut ones also).

Laser Logo

If you supply me the cad file I could probably get it laser cut at Work for about $25.00 out of 1/4" plate. I dont see why you would want to waterjet it. Thats for thicker materials . aluminums, etc. Dont expect any colors though.
Do you have any cad, dwg, iges,or dxf files you can send?

CNC Mill if i was still in the maching class in my school then i could do it for that cost of the material and i would just have to auto cad it

I was looking for something like 3/16" or 1/4" steel plate that could be welded to something. I don't want anything with any kind of color, just something that looked like the TRS letters and flag (logo) enough that it could be welded to something and you'd be able to make out the logo.
