How easy is Forscan to use?

when you guys are using Forscan, are you using it with a laptop or your phone?

I only use a laptop.

I like my OBDII to USB cord as well.

Laptop and USB dongle. They recommend that method if you’re going to mess around in the anti-theft stuff because if you’re programming say keys, and the Bluetooth connection drops, it can potentially brick the system. With my luck, I’m not playing that game. If I need to drive around running live data I just put the laptop on the passenger seat.

Same here. Laptop and a physical connection with a cord. I only use my tablet and a USB device for when I'm on a trip for if I end up with some kind of code. It takes up less room and I'm not messing with settings.

laptop and physical cord to the obd port. no issues at all

a power bleeder can often get by needing a scan tool up till 2018 or so...

or just hooking to a vacuum line.

I used it Wednesday to get the door code and turn of the passenger seat belt alarm on my mom's new (to her) 13 Fusion. I spent 10 minutes trying to remember how to get that. It's 5 different PIDs BTW.

I just got my Vgate Vlinker in the mail today. Took 5 minutes to find and download the drivers and setup the connection settings in Forscan. It connected and read everything on my 2000 Ranger first try. Man it's nice seeing live data from every sensor. No more guessing if something is working right
