I was thinking a plastic milk crate might do the trick, but am curious what you have done...

Escape; in a tote. 12V air pump, 2 gal. gas, 20' jumper cables, basic tools in clamshell plastic box, small tarp, 1L oil, antifreeze, WW fluid, drinking water, insulated bib overalls, cotton gloves.

I removed the back seat from my escape & put in a truck bed box, still have the cargo area (what little you get with a escape) available. Bigger stuff I hitch up a trailer. I do miss having a truck, sometimes parking can be a pain if I have my big trailer with me.

How hard was it to remove the seat? I never have passengers and that seems like a great idea.

Wasn’t bad at all, the seat backs are a bit heavy but the bottom sections are very lightweight. I never have more than just my wife with me and making it in to a “truck “ does make sense. The plastic filler panel can come out too. 4 bolts, I left it in to keep the floor level but have had it out to put reinforcing in for the rear shocks & trailer hitch.
