How do you fill up with cash?

I just remember how much fun you had last time on the train.

The PTSD still haunts me...

There was so much urine... urine everywhere... for 17 hours... in a box with no window... why was there so much urine!?

I thought that was your urine.
So, if you're standing in a puddle of it,

You're in your urine.

Sounds like a Russian guy's name.

I thought that was your urine.

Only a little bit of it was!

When the train stopped in Charlottesville I ran off and peed behind a billboard on the platform. The amtrak guy saw me and gave me a weird look, I said "dude, there's at least a half inch of p*ss on the floor and adult diapers stuck to the wall of the bathroom on that damn train!" He just started cracking up.

By the time we got to Savannah the whole train smelled like my pickle bucket.

Train people are the nastiest human beings on the face of the earth. AND THIS IS COMING FROM ME!!!!

A flight takes an hour and a half, driving takes 11, the train... 17 HOURS!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I usually just pay at the pump with a card. But yes, if you wish to pay with cash, you have to go into the store and pay the cashier what you think you need to fill the tank or what you want to put into the tank if not filling it. If you over estimate, then you need to go in and get your change.

I think most of us in the forum would enjoy a video of @Dirtman experiencing his first time operating a fuel pump by himself. Anyone want to place bets on if he pick the correct octane or not?

I know how to pump my own gas.

I just don't know how to pay for it...

You give the money to the nice man wanting to clean your windshield with a dirty rag.

Producing your own "gas", and pumping your own gas are two different actions....
Are you sure you know the difference ? :icon_rofl:
Although, letting a fart escape could be considered "pumping gas" !

GasGuru StupidPhon App & a CreditCard with 5%CashBack on Gas,
then fuel either around town or CrossCountry gets much cheaper & Exxon gets much poorer.

If you're serious about getting a "full" tank, know roughly what it will take and don't want to go back in the store, don't give them enough cash for a fillup. Give them enough to get it close and finish it off with a card. That would minimize any extra cost for using credit.

That said, very few stations in my area charge more for credit, most are the same price. So make sure there's actually a difference before going to extra trouble. I would recommend not buying stations directly at interstate exits. You'll usually save a few cents if you drive a mile or two away from thre exit.

So essentially I pull up to the pump, go inside and give them more money than I think it will take, go back out and pump, then go back inside to get change?

Ok no more insulting NJ cause that is freaking idiotic... :buttkick:
Yes.

I'm hoping sooner than later we can pay at the pump with bitcoin LOL.

Every place I've been they don't care if you pay cash or card the price is the same. I have a Chevron Card and a Shell Card both of them give me 5-10 cents off per gallon. Many places do that, so maybe get a fuel card from one of the common gas stations across the country, or go to truck stops to fill up maybe? Every place I've ever filled up you just go in give them money and you pump your gas then go get the change after you are done. You can closely figure out how much its going to cost if you pay attention to when you fill up your vehicle. I know with my Ranger if its at 1/4 of a tank its about $37 to fill up. So I'd give the cashier $40 and get the change when I'm done. I just use my card much easier that way and usually if a station is closed after hours you can still fill up at the pump with your card that's one thing to watch out for, some stations are not 24/7 stations so you pull in there at 2am if you don't have a card you aren't getting gas.
