I read somewhere a good way to test is to park it and put in 3rd gear and if the engine stalls the clutch is good. What I don't understand about this test is what rpm is normal to start slipping?
At lower rpms my engine will stall easily with this test, but if I rev it to maybe 4000 rpm it will start to slip.
Not to sure on these numbers thought might have to do it again.

be hooked up to a 1,500 pound trailer, when you take off and shift to 2nd floor it, if your rpms go up and ground speed doesnt, its slipping. once i thought i had tires losing traction on a jeep, turns out it was a slipping clutch.if your reving it to 4 grand, youre just burning lining away, if its going to slip, it will be noticeable in lower gears under load.
