i have a 1988 4X4 ext. cab ranger, im a scale operator at schnitzer southeast (scrap yard) and we buy about every kind of metal their is including scrap cars, the other day i looked up and a guy was bringing in a 1985 f150 with some BF goodwrinch 33 12.50 m/t with a good bit of tread on them so i went and asked what he was going to do with them and he said sell them and he sold me the wheels and tires for 75.00! i know they will never fit now my question is what is the best and cheapist way i can get them to fit.

thanks

buy a set of 8 inch wide ranger rims, then suspension or body lift. body lift is a heck of a lot cheaper. read the tech library too, they are a huge help

thank you very much, do you think a 3 inch body lift would be enough?

it might rub, depends also on the offset of the wheel. although im not too familiar with clearances on your body style. i would definately try to make them work though, or sell them.

They will rub terribly with just a 3" body lift. If you add leveling coils or spacers or f-150 coils in the front, then in the back either a 3" block or explorer leaves or longer shackles and you'll be good to go.

you wont necessarily need to get new wheels, my buddy did a 4 in lift and stock wheels with 33's and it works great except the fenders needed to be trimmed front and rear for turning purposes not rubbing reasons

thanks for the help i found a 4 inch lift made by rough country and they said it will work with 33s

i had a 3 inch body lift. and trimed a little of the frount and back of my frount fenders and fit 33s

got'em on

i got the rough country 4' lift and the 33 12.50 fit great no rubbing or anything, it looks awsome im going to try to put pics on soon
