My boy has his first Ranger. 2004 4WD, no lift. it has 245/75/16 on it. I'm sure these are the stock wheels. How big can he go with MT's without rubbing without lift kit?

I have a 2004 2x built on the 4wd chassis (so I learned). Sounds like I can go 31 too? Would be nice.

What year is the 4X4 chassis? If 2007 or earlier, then yes. If 2008 or newer, you will need to do the pre-2008 chassis mod to get the proper clearance. I had to do that mod for 31s to fit properly and not rub on my 2011.

She's an 04 so the chassis could be an `03. Not sure without running the numbers. I just wanted to circle back and make sure I understood. Her next set of skins are 31's.
Thanks.

An 03 should be good.

Thanks again.

Tires are often round.

Today at work I was told that a set of tires I have been waiting for for two weeks should be here by the end of the week.

I jokingly asked if the supplier had to make them special just for us.

Turns out that yes, that is exactly what took so long.

Coming back around on this, what size rims are you running for those 31's? Thanks.

I’m running the stock 15” rims. If you plan to do any real off roading (as in stuff more than fire roads and improved trails), more side wall is your friend. I wouldn’t go more than 16” if you feel you must go with a larger rim.

You're joking. Probably not this time. Pics please? I have new skins waiting for me at home base. They're not 31's. I didn't think you could. Want it on my radar for the next set. Thanks.
