Hot weather rumor true?

they say it's a different kind of heat because it's not humid... and they are right.

don't get me wrong, it's still hot as shit, but we get heat index here of 110 pretty much guaranteed very often.

that's the temp plus the humidity factory included, heat index is what it "feels like" IIRC, but yeah i mean it's definitely a difference compared to humid heat.

our football turf adds about 10 degrees though, worse when it's wet cuz then it just radiates more humidity and heat.

Thanks for all your advise. I won't bother leaving windows cracked. The heat in the cars not an issue because I usually let the AC run for about 5 minutes before I hop in this time of year. If I didnt do that I would look like this -->

I'll trade you my humid heat for your dry heat. I hate looking like I just got a shower all the time everyday.

Oh, yeah...living around the Great Lakes on a still, hot day is brutal...I had to work on my car yesterday tearing apart the wiring under the dash...now I know what those ants under the magnifying glass feel like just before they go up in smoke...

I don't know why but central Wisconsin has to be one of the most miserable places I've been to in the summer. Texas wasn't bad, but when I go to the Oshkosh Airshow it's just horrible.

Cheapest and easiest way to cool it a bit would likely be to get a good reflective windshield screen.

I always use mine when I leave my car at the airport.

If nothing else, it'll cut down on the sun fading your interior or cracking the dash..

I live in the florida panhandle, marsh, swamp, pine forests, usual summer temp is about 95 with 90% + humidity.... I'm used to it though, I can't stand anything below about 60 for very long.

+1000 on the sun shade. i've got a reflective one, and it has saved my butt more than once. my A/C hasn't worked in over a year, so i need to keep my truck as cool as possible.

window tint
windows cracked (if theres not a chance of rain)
sun shade
i park facing west, so the afternoon sun hits the window with the most "block" (windshield with sunshade)

we've had a week or so of high 90's with scattered rain. so it gets hot and humid!

FYI, my bronco II sat out in a field in south texas for 5 years. windows rolled up, no sunshade. no cracks in the glass

EEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!! My biggest fear! Im so spraying poisen around my door seals:icon_surprised:

Heres a motivation picture for you. A little nest of fiddle back spiders.

Wine, wine, gotta love those Western state people.... it's a DRY heat, try some 95 degrees with humidity in the 90's here in the South. :thefinger:

The heat doesn't bother me as long as I have plenty of fluids to drink. :D

You have a deal!! I miss the Mississippi Gulf Coast summer!!!

Buckeye AZ born n' raised went to new york last year in July wearing jeans people were looking at me like i was crazy.

As for the cracked windsheild prob because a rock hit the windsheild and chipped it then the heat expanded it into a crack, figure that happens everywhere tho.

BTW This has got to be the coldest June ive ever witnessed here in AZ not one day even close to 115
