Stupid question but these have a dual tone horn, correct? I swear mine sounds like it's only making one of the tones and it does not sound very loud. Does that mean the horn is shot or should I check the wiring?

yep, two horns. probably not the wiring, id suspect either one horn is toast or there's some corrosion somewhere. i think they ground through the bracket, maybe some rust there or something. should be easy enough to diagnose if you have a multimeter and maybe a clip lead or two.

Well, my 02 has dual horns. My 08 FX4 has a single note horn. It sounds wimpy compared to the 02. So yours is working as designed or my FX4 is broke too.
