Anyone ever have one of the hood stop things break the plastic part its mounted to?

I guess i need to hit up the JY to get a replacement but what could have caused this? I figure it may be related to that damn razorback(not on purpose :icon_hornsup: ) but it seems strange that this would break.

Mine are rubber caps on steel screws...if you're referring to the thingys that the hood sits on when it's closed...maybe post a pic so someone can elaborate on why it happens...

my plastic nut thing is broken too, it doesnt bother me at all, but yea i'm sure the junkyard is the best place to get them

Yeah the things the hood sits on. Mine are bolts with rubber caps screwed in to a plastic base and the base snapped in half. I'll get a pic when I can get to my truck.

LMC is a good thought though

just hit up ford. they will be a few dollars.

According to my LMC catalog, they do sell them. Page 13 on the current fall catalog. They sell for $14.95 a piece but apparently you have to buy two of them to get your order shipped out. My friend found this out the hard way when he ordered parts for his S-10 Blazer.

Thanks for that. The one from ford is a bit cheaper, is it the hood bumper back, the on core support back, or the on fender back?

LMC Truck's prices are sometimes good and sometimes overpriced. The one you are probably looking for is the core support one.
