Homemade Center Console

Well i did the bucket seat conversion about a year ago and have been ichin to get an explorer console but was allways low on money and i got fed up with it today so i made one by hand with limited tools too lol just a big ole wood saw
I made a template out of cardboard first to see where the bumps needed to be
then grabbed some random thick plywood and but it out
I used 2x4s for the bracing inside of it
im planning on truck be coating the sides and front then smoothing the top for a high gloss finish its going to be all black with change holder and cubbbys and such ill keep posting new picks!

looks nice. Ill be making mine once i finish my panels. To get a PERFECT fit on the bottom im gonna lay some glass to form around the humps prefectly.

IM STILL NOT DONE YET have to finish trimming on inside and built in compartments cupholders etc ps thats a REAL Leather jacket dad let me cut it up theres leather on the inside the only bottom i have in it is a toolbox insert tray silicon-ed in ----This whole project i just pulled out of my a$$ and it randomly works great for a few hours of work THANK YOU GORILLA GLUE!

Thats gotta suck...im 18 now and i luckily have worked the same job since i was 15. Granted it is/was (just got a raise last week) a min wage job but at least i had one through high school
