Was working this morning, and guess it stopped while I was getting ready this morning. It's a gas unit and the blower and exhaust fan work but the ignitor doesn't even try to light and no flame.

might be the ignition transformer, works like a coil on a car. you can test it in a similar manner or put the correct voltage to the primary side and see if you get a spark on the secondary side. Gas is dangerous so be careful while you're playing around with it.

Could be any number of things from a birds nest blocking flue to a bad fan board.

My partner had a birds nest in the flue yesterday on one of his calls,I had a squirel in the flue last winter on a call.Draft inducer fan turns, but the blockage keeps the air flow switch from making.

On most modern furnaces the fans running but no heat or cool equals open 24volt safety switch.

Squirel chews it's way into attic, finds open flue pipe, crawls in to get warm and never wakes up.Open flue?Nobody knows how it happened.
