was wondering if the holley 0-7448 would fit on the stock intake manifold of the 84 2.8 v6.

Yes it will, no problems. Holley makes and auto choke kit for that carb also that you can bolt on. Putting on on my truck next week along with duraspark conversion, will keep you posted

I have a duel plane offenhauser intake manifold, duraspark ignition, low temp thermastate, and a Holly 4 barrel carb. I don't DD this truck so I took the choke off.

how much better does the truck run with the low temp thermostat. did you drill the hole in the heads like it says in the tech library?

I did not drill the hole in the heads. The lower themostate worked well, I can't tell you how much better it worked tho.

so i should be good with just the lower thermostat... didnt relly want to take the chance of messing up my heads. right now my trucks runs pretty hot. like around 200/210 and i have the stock thermostat. i think its like 190 or something. thats what the autozone gave me anyways.

All the parts including the oil in your engine are engineered to run at 210/220* Because water boils at 212* we are afraid of heat. However the iron engine and the coolant under a 16lb pressure cap are very comfortable at 220*.

I put a 3 row rad and lower themostate in my engine b/c it is a 80% trail rig 10% around town and 10% drive to the trail kinda truck. Since its speed is 10mph max most of the time, I wanted to ensure ample cooling.

Hey just want to let you know that I did my duraspark conversion yesterday and used my Holley 350. Worked perfectly, fit like a glove. Used size 50 jets in the carb and it is working fabulous. My truck has headers and a 2 1/2" exhaust, so others might need to go to a size 48. Electric choke conversion was simple to put on and wired in easily. Just make sure you have fuel line and fittings, I fortunately had access to many and was able to do all metal line up to the carb.
