got a 85 ranger. 2.8 v6, did a rebuild, but the hoses and wires and stuff that was on the carb is missing and wires are falling apart.

can i replace the factory carb with a Holley 350 cfm 2 bbl carb?

can i use this carb with out having to do the duraspark conversion?

im using aftermarket gauges, manual temp and oil gauge, aftermarket tach.

would i be able to use this carb and eleminate all them hoses and wires that went to the factory carb? i read the tech page over and over, i dont understand it.im not good at wiring.

any help would be appreciated, thanks

The Holley 350 cfm will work on your motor just fine w/correct jets, however the duraspark will have to be done.

Your aftermarket gauges and tach will work fine.

Duraspark parts are cheaper than the carb and you can use your existing coil.

yes,you can eliminate all the hoses and wires to original carb.

Print out the duraspark pages on the tech library and shop the parts, then use the print out as a guide, step by step.Post up problems here.

Use #50 to #53 jets in the carb, original carb used #50.The Holley comes with #63 jets and it will run,but lousy gas mileage.Jets can be changed quickly and are available at most parts stores although you may have to order them, they are cheap.
