Got a 4 day weekend, forced on me cuz the job is shut down for Monday.
Just got "a few" little chores to attend to on my 93 that I bought a little while ago.
Swap transmissions (5 speed) - had it out just after I got it to seal an oil leak. Put in a new clutch, t/o bearing and pilot bearing then.
Swap instrument clusters to one with the optional tach.
Do a compression check.
Do an ohm check on the coils.
Do an ohm check on the plug wires.
Do an ohm check on the injectors.
I've got a 5th gear miss and the ecu (that I just swapped in)
doesn't read out any codes, so gotta go digging.
Adjust the right door to get rid of an air leak and wind noise.
Install and mount a vacuum gauge. Want to see if the vacuum is steady or jumps around.
Install and mount a numbered temp gauge - even with a new
sender and T-stat and trying 2 oem gauges it still reads too cold,
so want to see what the numbers say.
Take another stab at fixing the gas tank inlet tube. Cracked
up by the filler neck, seems OK down by the tank. Held awhile
with black silicone. New ones over $100!!
Crawl under and do some checking to see if an oem Ford trailer hitch off a 99 Ranger will fit my 93. From looking at install videos on aftermarket hitch websites, looking at their application charts, and reading some posts, I think it'll work.
If I could have found a rear ABS valve, I'd swap that out along with the leaky master cyl but that's going to wait till I can find a good used valve so I only have to bleed once.
Then watch some football.
Then swap out the tires on my bike and balance and reinstall.
Should be a lazy weekend
