HO2 sensor code still???

189 code comes up and I just replaced the left/front O2 sensor/Bosch. 189 means running lean. Any ideas why? I do take it left is the drivers side? Right?

Is your exhaust system tight at the donut and did you reset the computer after you changed the sensor. Disconnect the battery for at least half an hour to reset the computer. Then erase the memory and run it at medium speeds for around 20 minutes so the computer can set new values. While it is still up to temp run the codes again and see if it passes.
