hissing noise

I just noticed my trucks makes this hiss noise when I shut it off. I replaced a couple of the vacuum hoses recently- was wondering if maybe I screwed something up- anyone ever experience this?

Also- I noticed that my reverse lights were on no matter what gear I was in. I sat still and ran the shifter through all the gears and in and out of reverse- and again heard an air noise when I was moving the stick around. Now the reverse light is off- but I don't know where air would be associated with the tranny. any ideas?

as far as the hiss goes its probably either your brake booster itself, the rubber grommet where the vacuum line hooks to the booster or the vacuum line to the grommet. If it hisses long enough for you to hear it after you cut it off the brake booster is the only thing that I know of that would hold that much volume.

what i would do is have someone turn off the engine while you listen right by the brake booster. Could be as simple as the grommet on the booster where the vacuum hose goes. After the engine is turned off pull the big vacuum hose out of the brake booster if you dont hear a woosh sound then its leaking internally or at the grommet.

I ran some seafoam through the brake booster hose yesterday and added to fuel- I must have re seated something because I do not hear that hissing any more. Thanks for your help.
