I got a hissing noise in my 92 Ranger when my pedal is anywhere past halfway. It did it with the stock intake and its not any worse with my custom cold air. Its seems to be coming from very close to the firewall on the passenger side. It stays at the same pitch and speed no matter how hard I hit the gas. I'm so confused? What the hell is it?

Vacuum leak. A/C trucks have a reservoir and vacuum motor on the passenger side of the firewall. It controls outside-air (max A/C).
