Got an '87, with a rebuilt 2.9L V6. What is the factory flow rate of the fuel injectors on this motor? I thought it was 15 lbs/hr? Can anyone confirm?

What could I expect from upping the flow rate by 2 lbs. from the OEM spec. Nothing so radical, that the EEC can't handle it.

Thanks

I think that the computer would learn pretty quick that it's putting in more fuel than it did before and pull back some injector fire time so that the computer "sees" what it is programmed to see as far as the o2 is concerned. Now if you opened up the throttle body, and opened up the exhaust side of things at the same time, you "might" see some improvement. So if you "improve" one side of an equation, you have to "improve" the other at the same time in order to see any benefits. The computer is programmed to expect certain "things" in regards to fuel mapping and it's not too easy to fool. That's why all the companies that sell "chips".
