High vehicle milage

Just bought a 2000 2.5L manual transmission with 268k miles on the odometer but this thing runs and drives excellent! Put it up on the lift and all checks out pretty damn good. Just curious what others have or seen on these rangers. Post milage and what engine. Thanks

My opinion is that these motors are bullet proof. My 2.0 has rolled over at least twice and it seems to run strong. Sounds like the previous owner took care of yours, because I probably have around the same mileage and I just got done replacing every seal in the truck, granted it's 14 yrs older than yours. So if it's not leaking oil now I take that as a good sign.
