It would be hard to keep the factory open making just stripped down cars for the police. Not really worth moving the line either for a car that nobody but police want.
Pretty much all the taxis in Omaha have black and white showing through where the red or yellow paint is chipped off and spotlight holes in the DS A piller... not sure how many taxi companies buy new vs hitting the police surplus lots.
The local cops have tested the new "interceptor" Taurus... the snag is the city forefathers don't want to be giving Roscoe and Enus the keys to a 350hp+ AWD terror. So they get V6 Chargers as they slowly kill off the Crown Vics.
Omaha is buying a lot of new Chevy caprices, atleast that's what's the badge says. I have seen a few chargers, I think the last one I saw was broke down on the aide of the interstate. Cater lake went to expeditions and papillion started using the Ford intercepters.
