Hey everybody!
Lately I've been having issues with my ranger's idle speed. It starts up, runs and drives fine, but sometimes it starts to idle higher than normal. It usually does this while driving whether its cold or fully warmed up. Sometimes I'll notice it after its been lugging in second or first gear, I'll go to shift up and I have to wait a long time for the idle to come back down, other wise im treated to a jerky shift
Since I dont have a tach and the radio is usually up it sucks because it takes me by surprise. Anyways, like i mentioned earlier it does it while its moving, when I come to a complete stop it will drop down to its normal idle. What controls this thing's idle? I'm not getting the check engine light so I'm hoping this is just a bolt on issue.. What do you guys think?
Thanks for your help!
Derek
