The late model XLTs have a three light high brake assembly. Others have a single light (no cargo lights).

Do all trucks have the same wiring harness l so you could swap in a three light assembly??

I think so. I put in a 3 light in my 94 Mazda B2300. Works just fine.

I guess the only way to know for sure is to take it apart and look!! Being lazy I was hoping for a "for sure" answer without doing any work.

Thanks, Ed

Looked at wiring diagrams and several of them on E bay. The wiring has not changed in the entire run of the Ranger. On some especially the new LED ones that I saw the plug looks a little different but I could be wrong. Any how you could just splice, solder and heat shrink the wires.
