Hidden loves

History. I am just intrigued by everything that has happened in the past, whether American history, European history, etc. Right now I'm really interested in Latin American history..it is way more complicated and interesting than I ever thought it would be. Latin America has such an interesting past, you can spend years studying it. I just always catch myself thinking about what it would be like to live in that era, what a certain person was like..stuff like that. It's just fascinating to me. I would love to have a time machine so I can go back and live through in different eras in different places. I guess that's why I'm majoring history to become a high school teacher. I just love it.

And cruisin' the open roads on the Ninja. There's just nothing like having an open road ahead of you, and just riding just to ride. I love just jumping on and going, with no real destination in sight. Just jump on a highway and see where it takes you.

Motor oil, and other auto fluids like ATF, gear oil, etc. I'm a BITOG addict.

Also recycling, and things that conserve energy like CFLs and LEDs.

Oh yeah, and I also have to add abandoned buildings too. I've never been inside one, but I like looking at pictures of them and stuff.

I love Turners too!! but nice clean ones like this:

These are some friends of mine I used to have a Teg but I got rid of it I can't wait to build another.

caving and climbing. Neither of which I seem to do much anymore. Fun though. Used to make a living teaching rock climbing.

Broadway, musicals, and classical music,

I can't say I share your feelings.

Hondouras, I love learning about things like chernobyl and 3 mile island. Also like happy valley and stuff like that.

Did you read "We almost Lost Detroit"? That was an excellent book on the nuke disaster...but I would direct you towards this link...

Truly sad...I just read where Dr Gofman died in 2007...but he was almost 90 years old...

Anything mechanical. I could watch those computer animations of an engine running with all it's internals visible for quite some time.
Just about anything scientific. Learning how stuff works never gets old.
My music tastes are odd. I like black metal instruments with harmonic singing, tough to find though.
Stand-up comedy is also a favorite.
And finally, and don't give me crap for it, is UFO stories. They're just always interesting.

I tried searching the Modern Mavels and found only the one on foot x-rays...but they did mention how dangerous those machines were...if you want a shocker, read that article on the major cause of cancer by Gofman...it was an eye-opener for sure...

Too bad he wasn't taken seriously...or, at least, the full impact of what he was saying wasn't appreciated...

Disasters, specifically mega and engineering disasters. Like when a dam breaks. History channel is always good for these types of things.
I can watch Air Emergency on Nat Geo for hrs on end
http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/series/air-emergency
I've always found it fascinating how the biggest disasters are always the result of a series of small events. Any one of these events fail to happen and the mega disaster wouldn't have occurred.

I've also got a love for all things freaky, weird and paranormal. Ghosts, UFO's, psychics. love it all.

older vehicles the way they were made and the style, exploring abandoned building but who doesn't :D, older industrial equipment just to see how they did it, taking stuff apart, building stuff out of what you took apart:icon_welder:, and designing vehicles and houses maybe I'll post some pics for some sh!ts and giggles:icon_rofl:.
:icon_idea:
