HAs anybody done this? If so which would you prefer the 6000K which is pure white or the 8000K with is blueish white. Thanks.

In my F-650 work truck, it has sealed beams and we ran silverstar headlights and they are wonderful. All the light you will ever need and it doesnt blind the on coming drivers. Of course they make them in 9004s also. Its the only headlights I will run in any of my autos.

I personally like 4500K and 5000K lights. They are more of a pure white than the 6000K. But im just using xenon bulbs in place of the stock ones, im not sure about an HID setup.

i have the 6000k in my bronco...i just dont have high beem. may swap back to stock.

4300 Kelvin is the closest to natural light. 6000K will have a blue tint to it. 8000K will be blue.

The farther you get from 4300K the harder it will be to see in poor weather.

(disclaimer: The following is an opinion. You can argue all you want with whatever I have to say, but its an opinion, so your wasting your breath!)
Personally I would go with 5000K or 6000K, no higher on a daily driver. I'm running 6000k in my fog lights and swapping to 5000K in my headlights.

you will need aftermarket headlights since the gen 1's use a 1 piece headlight design where you cant change out just the bulbs. my brother has the 6000ks on his z71 and they are rediculously awesome. i will never own a vehicle without hid's again after driving with them.

I have a 2000 S10 blazer in my driveway that my buddy is trying to sell. He has 5000Ks in it. I think the 5000K is better in the rain. Thats why I'm going with the 5000K.

sweet, think you could post up a pic of the 5000s? that would be gravy

double check with your state as several wont allow any thing that has a blue tint when shined against a white pc of paper

I'll see what I can do.

Heres the best pic I've seen so far.

I have Wagner "Tru-Views" or something to that effect in my Ranger, I love them.
