Hi tech blessing and curse

Computerized fuel injection and DIS are blessing when work properly and curse when they don't.
Most problems are fairly easy to diagnose and repair. But intermittent malfunctions can be difficult and frustrating things.
"Dive-bombing" is costly and shop rates are way expensive.
Almost miss carbs and points... then come to my senses.

Thanks to US car makers getting their act together in 90s, 2nd generation fuel injection and solid state ignition is quite reliable. Majority of problems I've encountered are due to poor maintenance. Can't drive vehicle 100+k mi and do nothing but put gas in it.
