hello everyone,

awesome site here. loads of knowledge to apply to the 88 2.0 my son gave me when he moved to CA. did the "throttle cable mod" a couple hours ago and I'm totally stoked with the results.

Glad you found something helpful...especially with the 2.0...you may need plenty of help with that engine...although they were OK when working right...getting them to work right after a few hundred thousand on the clock can be a bit of a challenge...I know this only because I had to replace mine eventually...but it did give me about 100,000 Km of fairly trouble free motoring...

And check out the 4 banger section if you haven't already done so...plenty of good information about carb upgrades...otherwise...enjoy!

Welcome to TRS! If you have a shed out back, my wife & I will pay good money to rent it for 2 weeks of vacation! (The last time I was there I stayed 15 minutes & then spent a year in beautiful/fascinating Viet Nam--1972.....LOL)
