Hi All,
I've been lurking around here since picking up a 2000 B2500 SE a few months back. It was actually my gal's for a while, but she decided she didn't like the truck-like ride, and the poor fuel economy. We picked her up an Acura Integra, and the B2500 will become my daily driver for a while...
We bought the B2500 from the original owner. It's a nice, clean low mileage truck. I intend to modify it slightly with the goal of increasing the fuel economy a bit and make it more fun to drive.
Current details:
Stock 2.5L Lima engine with 4-sp AT
Bilstein shocks
bed cover
Scanguage 2
225/70TR-15 Continental CrossContact LX tires on stock (aluminum) wheels inflated to 40 PSI
average of 21+ MPG over first few tanks
Planned mods include:
drop it 2-3"
Transgo shift kit
Alpine head unit with Infiniti speakers and powered sub.
Possible later mods include 2001+ 2.3L engine with 5-sp manual tranny...
I hoping to squeeze 25-30 MPG out of it...
see you in the forums!
Joe
