Hi fellow Ford nuts!!!!

After a two year being with Dodge I returned to Ford. My love afair is long and includes three Rangers. I love the little truck as it's hard working abilities have impressed me. I learned to drive in a 1991 Ranger with 2.3L and 4.10 rear, being 16 it was not treated with love, but it left our family in 96 with 210,000 miles. Replaced by a Mazda 2300 with 3.73 rear. It was heavier than the 91, but comfortable. Both were 5spd manuals and love the idea of shifting gears. After that it was full size Fords until the Dodge.Two weeks ago I heard ford ending the Ranger line after this year, damn I wanted another Ranger as I enjoyed a small truck and no longer needed full size for work. So I recieved as a gift from my wife a 2010 4x4 ext cab Sport model and I feel 21 again. Finally have my dream Ranger. my thanks to her was getting her a Focus to replace her Avenger. Again a Ford family!

And now looking forward in enjoying AZ fire trails and dirt roads I could not go down in my rwd trucks.

Thanks for the welcomes. I figure to help out a company who did not take money to stay alive. I respect a company who can ride out tough times. I sad to see it meant that Volvo and Mazda had to sold off.

My first drive was a 91 Ranger 5spd and 2.3L. With 4.10 rear it moved around town just fine and retuned good MPG. Replaced it in 96 after 200,000 miles. The B2300 was slower due to the wrong rear. Either it was 3.73 or 3.08 after swapping the rear with 4.10 it was fine. Then it was 73,93 f150 both great trucks but lived short lives due to wrecking them. The last Ford before the new Ranger was 2002 SD with 5.4L. Then I thought I go Dodge and it was fine but it was not a Ford. So now I am back with black sport model with everything I wanted.

As with most my trucks it does not stay stock. Somewhere it going to modify, as for what, who knows. I'll continue to asking questions and so far been giving great tips on the questions asked already.
