Wanted to introduce myself. Im a Ranger fan from back in the mid '80s. As a kiddo, I was very interested in SCORE racing. I would travel around to race shops and ask if they needed help prepping Race trucks. Well one shop said yes, and it was a SCORE 7S Ranger. I learned enough there to start asking for jobs at local fab shops. Just so happens I got picked up by John Ehmke at AutoFab, and within 3 years I was shop foreman. I went on to developing suspension packages, cages, revalving shocks, prepping race trucks and chasing for SCORE races. I developed the Ford Ranger 17" travel kit for him for 2wd and 4wd rangers. Both kits were able to retain the A/C. What I learned from John was priceless! I've owned about 6 Rangers in my time from 2wd Prerunners, to newer body styles and 4x4's. I recently bought a 1988 4x4 Supercab for $2500 as a base for my project. It had 181K original miles, V6, Stick, OG black paint with original dealer stickers and immaculate interior. The A/C is so cold, you could hang meat in the cab. I have big plans to make it an Overlander truck. Desert and off roading is plentiful here in SoCal, and my family enjoys the desert on our M/C's and YXZ. Thanks for reading my intro, and hopefully my fab knowledge will be useful here.

Welcome to TRS~!

Beautiful truck!

I'm sure you could be of help with your background in fabrication and modification...there are many who posses great skills and like to share their knowledge so you should fit right in since it's all about sharing and helping others...:icon_thumby:

Thanks! I so enjoy this truck. It is solid. Was originally owned by a priest in Oregon. I will follow the forums and lend some knowledge if needed. Im gonna ditch the 5x8 black wheels, I have a set of stock steel wheels almost ready to go on. Planning on a mild lift with 31's. While at Autofab, I did a few 4x4 TTB 4 inch lifts without drop down brackets. I cut the lower ball joint out, and moved it out to a point where 0 degree camber bushings could be used. Then modified it with a 10 degree caster. That thing tracked so straight at 80 mph across the desert! Fun stuff.
