The best thing you can do for your new to you truck is to stay on top of maintenance. Use good oil and filters... and do it regularly.
If it has 100k or better miles and you can't verify the timing chain tensioners have been replaced... replace them. Resist the urge to buy the cheapest ones on ebay. Motorcraft tensioners can still be found (i did) or Cloyes is a decent popular brand.
Join in on the forums when you have things to add or have a question. Post your questions in the appropriate help forum that relates to your help topic.
And yeah... owning a Sport myself... we would all like to see pictures of your new rig.
