Welcome buddy. What are your plans for that beast? and specs?

Well so far iv got plans to do the Dana 28 to Dana 35 Conversion.

Id like to put the explorer 8.8 with disk breaks in it.

A 1989 Mustang GT 5.0 but the thing im running into on this aspect of the build is wanting to keep it 4x4 and manual the best thing iv found so far is maybe going with the f150 M5OD-R2 with the f150 T-case but that can only handle around 350 torque? (feel free to correct me) so i was just out looking under my truck i think i might try something crazy and try and put a TKO 600 with a Divorced Np-205 but still have to do a lil more research on that checking the measurements and seeing if it will fit.

as for suspension id like to go with the camburg 4x4 long travel kit http://www.camburg.com/ford/89_97_ranger_4x4/ranger-performance-long-travel-x-ibeam-suspension/

and i havent figured out what i wanna do with the rear suspension weather to go with the camburg 3 link or just go with some Deaver Leaf springs http://www.deaverspring.com/products/leafsfd.html

still doing research tho cause i would like to keep the truck CA street legal.

Where abouts in ca are ya? And ya the smog we have here... youd be better off with a 4.0. As far as the suspension goes I wish i had the money for that. But if i had that much travel id probly try and see how air worthy it was.lol But regardless good luck with the build and you'll learn alot on this site.

Im about 5 minutes from the Pismo Beach area so im pretty close to the dunes.

yeah a 4.0 would be alot easier but i really love the sound of the v8 and they get around the same mileage and there is alot more upgrading for the v8.
