Hows everyone doin?
New to this forum. Was recommended here by a friend from work. I have a 1992 Ford Ranger. Currently 2wd 3.0 auto.

The truck has a 2" coil and block lift, and 31X10.50R15 BFG's.

I'm looking to make this a 4.0L, m5od, 4X4 with 8.8 rear(probably with disk eventually).

Figured I would come here to see what all I have to do to get her done right.

I need to start with an 8.8 since my 7.5 is already toast. Not sure what will bolt in and what won't though. So i guess its time to start reading =)

Welcome! You're right---read all the articles pertaining to the modification that you want to do FIRST. Then concentrate on that mod while you collect parts for other mods that you have in mind.

The guys with the most experience will help you, but you need to know what they're talking about.

And be sure to take lots of photos as you progress!

Well I did some reading and ended up coming up with a plan.

After making that plan I found a 1993 ranger 4.0 4x4 so I bought it. All it needs is a rear, so now I have to find an r6 8.8 3.73 limited slip.

Plan on doing a 4" lift and rear disc brake conversion with 33" tires to start. Excited to finally get it on the road. Pics to come soon.
